It is all about community. If we create a strong community where people sit around a  circle and talk, show up to basketball games and cheer, and engage in community meetings, then when something hard happens it is easier to come together to support or solve the problem.  This happened in January and February, as students enjoyed shooting baskets with friends, engaged in circle conversations at the BSU meetings, proposed new ideas like a school newspaper, and ran our community meeting. All of these moments require human capital. This cannot happen without people in the background orchestrating all of this, and this edition is a thank you to all of the people who helped create joy at PRS.

• Thank you, Emily, for lifting over 10 years of literacy work at PRS as well as the myriad of jobs you performed. It is taking seven people to fill all of the roles you did by yourself. Good luck, and we will miss you.
• Thank you, Laura and Sarah, for the hours you poured into the FTO basketball games and practices in the last three months. I bet you are ready for a break, and yet you are planning for the next big event, movie night.
• Thank you, Caleb, Crystal, Meghan, Austin, Bert, Nicole, Jeff, Handel, Holy, Jess, Laura, Brad, Ian, Liz, Ray, and Sherry and Mouhammed for taking hours out of your day to coach basketball. This could not happen without you. 
• Thank you, David and Ashley for refereeing. Even though your reffing styles are different, your passion is the same.
• Thank you to all of the parents who donated money or food to the concession stand, and of course thank you to Sarah M., Jess, Jessica, Lori, Brianna, Jen, Jess, and Sara for running the concession stands. 
• Thank you, Eric, for taking photos, editing, and printing photographs. It is always nice to capture these joyous moments.
• Thank you, Rebecca, Molly, and Ashley for transporting students to and from basketball practice and games. And, thank you, Rebecca for transporting students home after Learning Works.

I hope everyone enjoys a peaceful week.
